I have trouble reading so I general stick to reading manga, it's far easier for my dyslexic brain, helps me keep the picture in my head.

If you just find a nice quiet place you should be able to get some degree of concentration.

For some reason, I've always have to be away from home to properly settle into reading a book, and that can be abroad or simply at school. I simply can't sit on my bed and read a book. That's why I read a lot when I go travelling. Had to travel to England by myself once and demolished Catching Fire, yet when I got home and moved on to the third book I just couldn't. It's odd. But definitely take a book with if you're going off somewhere.

It's the opposite for me. Whenever I used to travel to and from university (usually a 3-5 hour journey) I'd always have a book with me but I'd end up falling asleep.

I'd try to find something interesting and simple to get into - tbh I still read a lot of YA / Childrens books as they have simple but compelling plots and aren't overly trying to read.

Also sci-fi / fantasy I usually find easier to read. It entirely depends on the sort of thing you want to read. Once you're started it's not too hard to branch out and try something new.
